I have an idea that I think will be great for Google. What is the best way for me to sell my idea to them? |

As mentioned in a couple of questions below, ideas are worth very little it is all about execution. Once you start executing and building your company you should never think about building it to sell it, bur rather focus on building value for your users and eventually value for your shareholders. Eventually you will either get an opportunity at selling the company or going IPO but never build your plans around getting acquired by a particular company. |

Agree with everyone. Ideas are a dim a dozen. It is all about execution. Once you build something of value that is when others will look into acquiring it. My advice to you is do not sit on your idea, go for it! |

I do agree with what Habib said, the best way to promote your idea is to implement it, and never limit your thinking with your resources, you can always make something real with the resources you have. Most people at MENA complain about resources, and probably most people have a great ideas but ideas worth nothing as long as they are not implemented, implemntation make ideas more clear and more efficent to become a successful running bussiness. |

Here is where to go: http://www.google.com/support/contact/bin/request.py?bdpg=1&hl=en Contact them, but be sure it's not easy at all to do such a thing. You might have to be alot patient. |

Call me paranoid, but if Microsoft's dealing with many of the smaller "ideas/companies" it bought is any indication to what could go wrong in these situations, I would be very careful on how I proceed: 1) have a prototype out to prove your idea works (like Habib said) and most importantly 2) have a patent or some kind of enforceable legal protection in place before contacting Google or anyone:-) |
