I am about to create a demo video for a product but looking for easy to use tools / visuals + audio. Are there any easy free (or cheap) ones outthere that I can use ? www.dropbox.com has an awesome one, are there tools I can use to do something similar ? |

I've been using Jing for a while. It's a software by TechSmith who are behind Camtasia Studio. Jing is free, I use it for screencast and sharing. |

It depends how advanced you want the video to be, drop box is really cool! You can also go the easiest way and use PowerPoint ;-) Check for example this video done by Mohammad Kayyali for LiveTweeting project (who would think it's done on PowerPoint): http://mayazankoul.com/2009/12/08/introducing-live-tweeting/ Other tools would be Adobe Flash CS3, Adobe Premiere & Adobe AfterEffects (A bit more advaced) and if you're on Windows, MovieMaker... Hope this helps :) Cool thanks Maya :) Great blog btw ! What did you use along with Powerpoint to make the movie ? Thank you! Glad you liked the blog :) You can get all the details you want about the movie from Mohammad Kayyali (@mkayyali on Twitter) since he did the movie... Good luck |

Follow up question: Do you know of any good screencast capture software that also records system audio (i.e. not microphone sounds)? Thanks! |

I have also heard good things about AllCapture: http://www.allcapture.com/eng/index.php You do have to pay for it but it not as expensive as the Adobe products. |

There is no simple tools for Video production, also buying original programs for montage cost a lot (Adobe Premier or Sony Vegas). I suggest to go to a person who do this kind of work or at least a good sound narrator, because it makes huge difference. There is an opensource project that I didn't have the chance to try it called OpenShot. |
