My current site is build on PHP, my next one is on Ruby. I am looking for good QA unit test frameworks. Haven't used any so far so I am inexperienced in them.

For PHP there is PHPUnit http://www.phpunit.de/

When you trying out unit tests frameworks pick the one with the best and easy ways for automation. At the end of the day, you need unit testing to be easy to automate with as minimum as a single push of a button. You need the develop/test cycle to be very quick.

I'd recommend before you try and switch to Ruby that you back up your email files. You wouldn't want to lose anything, right? Losing emails is tough, especially when you use Ruby unless you're a great programmer. Companies out there can help with email recovery. Datanumen is one I've heard of. Good luck.
