We will be hosting a series of open sessions with industry experts where you have the chance to ask questions. The top 3 to 5 questions/topics will answered in a blog post and on the Q&A platform. We hope to repeat this enough times to get all your questions answered.

!!!Update!!! :

Answers to your questions are now available in this blog post

We'll start our first "Ask the expert" series with a venture capitalist. We are fortunate to have Ziad Sultan from Longworth Venture Partners join us on this one. Once we gather your questions we will then pick the top 3-5 topics and Ziad will address them in a blog post. We will also mirror those on the Q&A platform so they are easily accessible. Questions will be closed one week from today.

Here is how you can ask your questions:

  • Register if you haven't already. It's important that you register so you can vote questions up or down
  • Add your question in the answer section below (Don't create a new question, instead add your question as an answer below).
  • Rate up or down other questions
  • Share the Q&A link on Twitter and/or Facebook

We will close the questions down in exactly one week so be sure to have your questions in asap. Oh, and don't be afraid to ask tough questions :)

For investors or VCs to support any project there should be:

  • Plan
  • New ideas and USPs (unique selling points)
  • Implementation

So, do I have to have a fully business and tech plan for X months? how many months? what the plan covers (i.e. milestones, money, team)? and also the same goes for implementation, do I have to have a fully working app, a prototype or just a small demo?

What are some differences between raising VC funds in the Middle East and GCC versus doing the same in Silicon Valley? (For example: minimum amounts for series A, timelines, termsheets, etc...)

What does a VC look most into in a startup, knowing that it's based in the MENA. Of course it does make a difference if it's not based in SV, but what would make that up?
