Definitely the ArabNet Conference 2010 !!! On March 25-26, 2010, Beirut will host the largest gathering of Internet executives ever to take place in the Arab world. Leaders from international internet companies, including Google, Yahoo!, Facebook and Intel, will meet with CEOs of major regional web companies, like Bayt.com and FlipMedia, to discuss emerging trends and opportunities in Arab web business. The event, ArabNet 2010, will be the first international conference for the Arab internet industry, and is organized by the International Business Alliance Group (IBAG), with the support of the Queen Rania Center for Entrepreneurship, Endeavor Jordan, the Syrian Young Entrepreneurs Association, and YallaStartup! The development of a thriving internet industry is critical as Arab countries strive to build knowledge-based economies, to develop the capabilities of their young workforce, and create high-skilled, high added-value job opportunities. Entrepreneurs from around the region with bright ideas and dynamic startups will have the chance to pitch their ideas to an audience of angel investors, incubators, and venture capitalists. Key to the Conference are the interactive Demo and Ideathon. ArabNet will give the a platform to 10 select entrepreneurs to introduce their fresh startup ideas to eager Angel Investors in a rapid-fire Pitch Session - Ideathon. Ampted up for the Demo, 10 startups with product in place will not only pitch, but present their product in an exposition space for the duration of the conference.
