We have a small web project and are hoping to finish first draft soon. When is the best time to launch it and any advice on marketing ? |

There are two approaches to this:
As per Mohammed Sahli... I find the best time to launch is ASAP. If you are not very happy with the product version (or are feeling inconfident about it - which is very natural), then you could choose to launch in Private Alpha or Private Beta and keep it limited to some users that you know will participate and provide feedback. In terms of Marketing... it really depends on your budget. If you don't have any, then you could seed it with some relevant blogs and use social networks and twitter..etc. If you do have a budget then the quickest and cheapest way to kick-start it is look into Google Adwords and Content Networks, where your product/service can be promoted at precisely the time people search for it. I would stay away from banner advertising and other CPM based marketing until you have thoroughly tested the site and have a clear conversion path. Don't forget to always have some analytics code to ensure you have visibility into how visitors are navigating and finding content on the site. Without this visibility you can't make many informed decisions. Good luck... |

I definitely agree that you should launch every early. Feedback is very crucial to developing a successful business/product. It also helps put you in the market. Many customers do their research and gather information on multiple products before making the final purchase. If your product is released, this gives them access to it. Although it might lack some features and require customization; they could be very interested in it and let you know of what they think it lacks. And if they see that you respond to their feedback and requests, this is very encouraging for customers and be sure that they will spread the word. |

Five years ago was the best time to launch. It's hopefully not too late if you launch tomorrow. So, launch as early as possible. Get the viral marketing started as early as possible. And improve your product regularly. There is nothing that can sell your product more than building a great product and having people talk about it. |

I think that the best rule is, early delivery, continuous feedback, continuous improvement. You always try to perfect the product, but from your own point of view. You must always put your customer in mind, and to do so you need to get his feedback, and to do so you need to get something up to pull feedback through. You might spend lots of effort time and money in a feature, that does not have any effect to your client, while another features that you overlooked and would have taken much less time made the world for him. Once you have something presentable with basic features.. go online with it.. put a feedback mechanism, and implement the changes requested by your customers. This is how you build loyalty. |

I suggest, while developing your page,,, you can just park your domain first. letter of application template |
